Terms of Use

Effective date: May 10, 2026

These Terms are effective as of May 10, 2026 and apply until replaced by a newer version.

This revision was introduced with app version 2.7.0. If you use the legacy app version still installed on some devices, see the previous Terms of Use for that version.

Terms of Use for Learn Polish
Effective date: May 10, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Learn Polish ("App", "we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the App is

Learn Polish is a language learning application that helps users study Polish vocabulary through flashcards, manual dictionaries, imported JSON dictionaries, and optional AI-generated dictionaries.

The core learning features of the App are available without a subscription. AI dictionary generation is an optional subscription feature offered in supported native mobile versions only. The currently released native mobile version is the iOS app distributed through the Apple App Store; a native Android version may be offered through Google Play in the future.

2. Eligibility

You may use the App only if you are legally allowed to agree to these Terms under applicable law.

If your use requires parental or guardian consent under applicable law, such consent must be obtained before using the App.

3. Native AI Dictionary Generation subscription

The currently released native iOS version may offer one monthly auto-renewable subscription named AI Dictionary Generation. This subscription is required to request AI-generated dictionaries in that version, unless you have an eligible active legacy subscription as described below.

The current AI Dictionary Generation offering includes up to 20 successful AI dictionary generations per monthly subscription period. Each generated dictionary may include up to 30 words. The App also applies shorter-period usage limits to operate and protect the feature; in the current implementation, an eligible subscriber may make up to 4 successful AI dictionary generations in the applicable weekly window.

Users with an active qualifying legacy subscription, previously used for broader App access, may continue to access AI dictionary generation while that legacy subscription remains active. The core learning features in version 2.7.0 do not require either the legacy subscription or the AI Dictionary Generation subscription.

A 7-day free trial or other introductory offer may be available if supported by the relevant store configuration and if the user is eligible under the applicable store rules.

Subscription pricing, free trial availability, introductory offers, billing terms, and feature availability may vary by platform, store, country, or region.

The web or PWA version does not sell subscriptions and does not offer AI dictionary generation. A native Android version may be offered later through Google Play under similar terms.

4. Permitted use

You may use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

  • use the App in violation of any law,
  • attempt to bypass technical restrictions, usage limits, or security measures,
  • overload, abuse, or disrupt the AI generation feature,
  • submit malicious code or harmful content,
  • use the App to generate unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful material.

We may limit or block access to some features, especially AI generation, where abuse or misuse is detected.

5. Local storage, backups, import, and export

Most App data is stored locally on your device.

Subscription status and AI generation usage-limit status in supported native mobile versions may also depend on Apple App Store records, RevenueCat records, and our server-side usage records. If a native Android version is later released, Google Play records may also be relevant. These records are separate from your local learning data.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining your own backups if needed,
  • checking exported files before sharing them,
  • checking imported files before using them.

Importing data may replace existing local data.

Local storage, app updates, browser limitations, device failures, crashes, resets, or manual import or export may result in partial or complete data loss. You are responsible for keeping backups of any data you want to preserve.

We do not guarantee loss-free storage, successful import or export in every case, or recovery of deleted local data.

6. AI-generated content

The App may offer AI-generated dictionary creation in supported native mobile versions to users with eligible subscription access, subject to the usage limits described in these Terms.

By using that feature, you understand and agree that:

  • AI output is generated automatically,
  • generated dictionaries may contain up to 30 words,
  • AI results may contain errors, omissions, or awkward phrasing,
  • you are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to use generated content,
  • generated content may resemble existing materials,
  • you must not submit personal data, sensitive data, passwords, or confidential information in prompts.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated output will be accurate, complete, unique, or suitable for any specific purpose.

7. Your content

You may enter your own text, notes, prompts, and dictionary content into the App.

You remain responsible for the content you submit. You must ensure that your content:

  • does not violate the law,
  • does not infringe third-party rights,
  • does not contain data you are not allowed to share.

To the extent necessary to operate the AI generation feature, you authorize us and our service providers to process the content you submit for that purpose.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, branding, and original non-user content, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for its intended purpose.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App to you.

9. Third-party services

The App may rely on third-party services, including hosting, infrastructure used to enforce AI usage limits, AI providers, subscription infrastructure providers, and app distribution platforms.

In the currently released native iOS version, purchases are processed by Apple App Store, not directly by us. If a native Android version is later released, purchases in that version may be processed by Google Play. Subscription validation, entitlement management, usage-limit enforcement, and restore purchases may also rely on RevenueCat and our supporting infrastructure.

Your use of such third-party platforms or services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

10. Billing, auto-renewal, cancellation, and restore purchases

If you purchase a subscription in the currently released native iOS version of the App, billing is handled by Apple App Store through the payment method associated with your store account. If a native Android version is later released, billing in that version may be handled by Google Play.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.

Any free trial or introductory offer, if available, is subject to the rules, eligibility criteria, pricing, and store configuration of the applicable platform.

You are responsible for reviewing the subscription terms shown in the relevant store before purchase.

Subscription management and cancellation must generally be handled through the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

The App may offer a restore purchases function in supported native versions to help restore access to subscription benefits associated with the relevant store account or supported subscription record.

Deleting the App, resetting local data, or uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.

11. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the App at any time, including AI limits, supported languages, qualifying legacy access, or available features. Applicable subscription terms and feature limits presented before purchase govern the offering you choose.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

12. Educational purpose only

The App is provided as a general educational tool for language learning.

Pronunciation playback may not be available on all devices and may depend on device settings, operating system support, installed voices, and language availability.

We do not guarantee:

  • fluency,
  • exam success,
  • error-free translations, examples, declensions, or AI output,
  • suitability for any particular learning method or purpose.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available."

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of:

  • merchantability,
  • fitness for a particular purpose,
  • non-infringement,
  • availability,
  • accuracy.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or service interruption arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, it will be limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are also not responsible for Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, or supporting infrastructure outages, billing issues, store-side eligibility decisions, free trial availability, renewal processing, or account management actions outside our reasonable control.

15. Privacy

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

16. Termination or restriction

You may stop using the App at any time.

We may suspend or restrict access to some features, especially AI generation, if necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or service protection.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be made available in the App or on the website, and the effective date will be updated.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
